Features
Enter an ingredient once. Never retype a declaration again.
BakeCheck is built around one chain: ingredients become recipes, and recipes become labels you can defend. Everything below in this first section is on for every account.
Ingredients
The foundation. Everything a label needs, captured once.
- Record allergens and composition per ingredient — the two fields a label actually depends on.
- Photograph a packet and have the ingredients read off it, rather than typing them out.
- Bring an existing spreadsheet in as CSV.
- Import from a shared library of common ingredients, already filled in, and pull updates when the master entry changes.
- Data-health checks tell you which ingredients are missing something a label will need.
Products & recipes
A product is its ingredients and quantities — so the label can be derived, not retyped.
- Build a recipe from your ingredients with real quantities.
- Use a product inside another product; allergens and ingredients carry through the sub-recipe.
- Costing works out what a batch and a unit actually cost you, from what you paid for ingredients.
- Set yield and selling price to see the margin.
Labels
A draft, a check you cannot skip, and a print.
- Generates an ingredient declaration in descending weight order.
- Rolls up all 14 major UK allergens across the whole recipe, including sub-recipes.
- Fails the label unless every one of those allergens is emphasised in capitals — and a failed label cannot be approved.
- Approving is a deliberate, recorded step. Change the recipe and the label is marked out of date.
- Print from the browser, copy the text, or download a 300 DPI image for a label printer.
